Nenets occurs as language spoken per Nenets people in northern Russia. It belongs to the Samoyedic languages which form the Uralic language family with a Finno-Ugric languages. There are deuce major dialects - Tundra Nenets & Woods Nenets - by owning moo reciprocal intelligibility between them. Virtually all Nenets speak Tundra Nenets.

Geographical Distribution
Nenets is spoken by 27 273 population of which 26 730 humans come native speakers. These are spoken within the wide locality in Northerly Russia including Nenetsia, Yamalia, Taymyria, Komi and the eastern area of the Murmansk Oblast in the Kola peninsula.

Phonology
Nenets has the CV(100) syllable structure. Within more words, the syllable will contain an initial consonant, a medial vowel, and an optional terminal consonant. Examples include ya ("earth"), wada ("word"), & ngarka ("big"). A schwa or reduced vowel will another time come out within stead of the terminal consonant.
